Beauty: New In

Recently I have started following women of colour who are beauty bloggers/ youtubers, this has really upped my beauty knowledge and I now feel like I'm making better make up decisions for my skin tone.

I have been thinking about buying a high end foundation for a while now and NARS has pretty much been on top of the to try list, I visited the NARS concession in Selfridges on boxing day just to get swatched initially but of course I ended up buying the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation (£32) and NARS Creamy Concealer. (£21)

Teamed with a primer and a Beauty blender the sheer glow foundation looks great on the skin, it gives great coverage and leaves the skin glowing (as the name intended) using this foundation has made me realise how important it is to let your foundation settle in to the skin before you start applying your other products.

The creamy concealer is obviously a perfect match with the foundation, it doesn't cover my dark circles as much as I would like but the coverage is buildable and does a good job. It settles in to the skin quite quickly so I would say apply one eye at a time.

I bought two palettes from the Makeup Revolution range and OH EM GEE. The contour palette has 8 shades and the brown tones are the perfect, It also has a banana powder and 2 choices of highlighters. The blush palette has 6 different shades of pink and a choice of 2 highlighters, both of these palettes have great pigment to them and for around the £8 mark what more can you really ask for?

Another few things I have bought recently is the NYX Matte finishing spray (£7) which has been a life saver, for some reason my skins been looking quite oily lately and the finishing spray really counteracts it, I have no complaints with this spray and will hopefully be purchasing the dewy finishing spray for my better skin days.

AND OBVZ because I'm loving my dark matte lipsticks this A/W this MUA LUXE lipstick has been on lips like everyday. Out of all the Matte lipsticks I have tried this is my favourite one, it's not drying and stays for quite a long time. I like the formula too, it's not too runny and doesn't get messy when reapplying.

What have been your latest beauty buys? What can you recommend me?
