Bobbi Brown 'Like Skin' Foundation Stick

After searching high and low for a drugstore foundation that really works for me, I have given up. The closest thing to a match I have found is the Revlon Colorstay foundation which I actually hate. So, after that fail I decided to stick to high end.

I went into Pearsons and browsed the Bobbi Brown counter, I picked up the 'Like Skin' foundation stick and got matched. Firstly, I have to say this foundation matched my skin tone PERFECTLY. Undertones and all. In Nars Sheer Glow Foundation I am the shade 'Cadiz' and in the Bobbi Brown Like Skin Foundation Stick I am the shade 'Warm Almond'. (For your reference)

I have been using this foundation for about a month now, I wanted to try it properly so I could give you my honest opinion of it.

I really like the formula of this foundation, it goes on well and is best blended in with a stippling brush and then blended out with a damp beauty blender. It has a medium coverage but can be built up in area's that need a bit more.

The finish is dewy but I have found that my skin is looking a lot more oilier since using this foundation, of course that can be counteracted with a powder but if you do like more of a matte finish I don't think this is the foundation for you. However, if you like the dewy, glow that this foundation gives then its a must try.

This is my first stick foundation and I definitely think in terms of hygiene you got to make sure you clean it with some sort of anti-bacterial solution otherwise you end up getting spots where you are constantly applying the foundation straight to the face.

Apart from the really small things I have mentioned I really love this foundation, it is one of my favourites (after NARS) and I can definitely see myself repurchasing this for a long time. It definitely works for me. I reckon this could also work well as a great contour product if you have the cash to spare!

SO. If you're looking for a foundation, especially if you struggle with finding a drugstore foundation to match your skin tone I would definitely recommend the Bobbi Brown 'Like Skin' Foundation Stick.

I paid £29.50 from the Bobbi Brown counter at Pearsons.
