Social Media & Business Tips From Your Favourite Girl Bosses

Social media tips from influencers

I'm sure we all follow an amazing bunch of girl bosses across the web, I know I do. I look up to so many phenomenal women and I would be lying if I said I am not consistently learning from them. Without these amazing women I probably wouldn't be where I am today and tbh a lot of them don't know the influence they had on me and many others (probably) regardless, I am always going to give credit where credit is due.

I am followed by and follow some amazing women on Instagram and had a brain wave recently where I thought why not get their advice on what it takes to build a successful following as well as business tips where possible.

I asked a range of women, bloggers, youtubers, podcasters, influencers, business owners, most of them cross over into more than one of these categories but they are all girl bosses in their own right.

I know I can learn a lot from them so I am sure you can too.

Here are some social media and business tips from phenomenal women on the web.

"Due to the nature of social media, at times we find ourselves falling into the trap of focusing on what others are doing and how they got to where they are. The truth is; the same amount of energy and time spent on wondering what your 'competitor' is doing could have been used on building, developing and sharpening your craft. Focus on what you are doing, the message you want to send out and how you can tap into your chosen audience"

Lauren Nicole, Model

"My biggest tip for Instagram, find 11-30 popular but relevant to your brand hashtags. Save them in your phone's notes and copy and paste them into your posts. This saves a lot of time when posting. Also, always post your hashtags in your comments. It looks neater and Instagrams favours posts with comments."

Cherelle Joseph, Founder of Perfectly Planned 4 You

"Trust in your quality over quantity and provide a solution to a problem, fill a void and create a niche"

Sincerely Oghosa, Content creator

"Don't be afraid to start because you think the market is oversaturated. You'll find your voice when you start."

Bola Sol, Talk show host & founder of Refined Currency

"Speak with people you look up to, go for a coffee - pick their brains. Learn from their mistakes"

Dani (Mission Worldie) - Blogger & Podcaster

"Spend less time comparing themselves to others who have been around for ages, and make plans for how they feel they can make a positive impact on social media."

Zeena Xeena - Founder of Blogging Gals
